May 30--A Sutter County carjacking victim lost more than his car -- he also lost $40,000 worth of jewelry, clothing and boots, a law enforcement official said Tuesday.
The carjacking happened Sunday afternoon at the home of 48-year-old Sergio Valencia in the 2500 block of Garden Highway.
Valencia had just returned home from a Yuba County flea market, where he had the jewelry and other items for sale, when two men approached on foot and asked about buying his 1999 Oldsmobile Alero, which had a for sale sign in the window, said Undersheriff J. Paul Parker.
